Why PSYCHOTHERAPY?

When someone reaches out for help it’s usually because they are suffering in some way, and frequently in some level of isolation. Done alone, this can become a ceaseless and useless form of suffering. Useless suffering can lead people to experience a multitude of mental health challenges. Sharing emotional pain in partnership can lead you to new insights and a deeper understanding about yourself. This process can be quite useful in helping you to learn to live through, and not against, emotional pain.

I believe regular psychotherapy in a consistent relationship over time can be an experience that leads to a real awakening.

Sometimes we fail to see the ways in which our past experiences continue to affect our current thinking, behaviors, and relationships. Gaining insight into these dynamics can deepen your awareness into what motivates you to move through life in particular patterns. This new understanding can free you up from the type of emotional pain that has ultimately become useless suffering.

Psychotherapy is the careful process of exploration into what troubles you so that you can learn to tolerate uncomfortable feeling states and move on towards a healthier state of mind and living.
